Maison Margiela Opens Flagship Boutique and Pop-up at ifc Mall

Maison Margiela opens a new flagship boutique at ifc mall in Central. It reflects an evolved visual language where concepts of deconstruction and refinement converge in an architectural composition of texture, light, and form. The opening is accompanied by a special installation at the podium of ifc mall, from now to April 11, that recreates the orchestra setting of our Spring Summer 2026 runway show.

Spanning 1,410 square feet, the boutique is our largest store in Hong Kong, and presents the complete range of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, small leather goods, jewellery, and fragrances.

The design reinterprets our House codes in design and interiors, articulating them through a play of stone, light and volume. The various settings are crafted from stained travertine, its natural indentations filled with colour‑contrasting epoxy resin in optical white, extending across walls, columns, shelving units and furnishings to create a continuous landscape.

Within this composition, stone fixtures and seating follow the same material language, guiding movement through the space. Horizontal bands of lighting trace along the curved forms of the walls and ceiling, highlighting both the contours of the architecture and the collections on display.

The palette is composed of warm beige and off‑white tones, a reference to our exploration of white as a House code. Greenery punctuates the interior, softening the geometry and introducing an organic counterpoint to the travertine setting.

This boutique continues the architectural concept developed across London, Paris, Osaka, and Shanghai — a dialogue between craftsmanship and concept.

Maison Margiela Pop-Up | Now - Apr 11

To celebrate the occasion, Maison Margiela presents a special installation at the podium of ifc Mall from now until 11 April.

The installation is inspired by the Spring Summer 2026 runway show, the installation reimagines an orchestra setting: instruments finished in the House’s signature Bianchetto white paint treatment are staged alongside mannequins styled as musicians, dressed in key looks from the SS26 runway collection.

Visitors are invited to compose their own musical sequence. By scanning a dedicated QR code, you can create a personalized musical arrangement using a selection of instruments — piano, cello, violin, flute or trumpet. The composition can be printed in the boutique as a score, and a visual memento of their unique composition.

The CO-ED Spring Summer 26 show is accompanied by an orchestra of 61 young musicians, aged 7 to 15, some within their second month of music school. The young musicians are all from Romilly-sur-Seine, gathered by the Orchestre à l’École association, an initiative that transforms entire classrooms into orchestras.
