Marni presents the new TRUNKAROO bag, unveiled last February through the Fall/Winter 2024 runway, in Milan. Connecting past and future, the bag updates the brand’s signature codes for a new, distinctive elegance. The inception of the TRUNKAROO begins by stripping the silhouette down to its purest form, complementing the natural essence of the wearer, because it’s more than a bag— it’s a companion. The functionality of the roomy, single compartment is playfully contrasted by the oversized magnetic closure, with a reflective surface that acts as a funhouse mirror. The versatility of the TRUNKAROO is further exemplified by its removable shoulder strap, anchored with metal links and an adjustable belt buckle—a clever design detail that transforms the bag into a clutch, if the wearer so pleases.
