ARTIST WORKSHOP BY SHUHEI HARA

EVISU invites Japanese artist Shuhei Hara to Hong Kong on April 11 and 12 for an exclusive hand-painting workshop. Customers will have the unique opportunity to watch as Hara personally hand-paints denim jeans, infusing them with traditional Japanese motifs and the brand's iconic seagull design. With over a decade of experience creating custom pieces for EVISU in Japan, this marks Hara's first visit to Hong Kong, offering local fans a chance to experience the captivating artistry he brings to each piece.

ABOUT EVISU

Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1991, EVISU takes its name from the Japanese mythological figure Ebisu. In its early days, the brand could only produce around fourteen pairs of jeans per day, with each pair hand-painted with a seagull motif on the back pocket. EVISU's passion for denim and meticulous attention to detail quickly gained favor in the demanding Japanese fashion industry, sparking a global trend in vintage denim. EVISU's commitment to quality and focus over the past two decades has earned the brand acclaim and popularity among denim collectors and fashion enthusiasts worldwide, solidifying its place as a classic in the history of denim. 

"BEFORE ANYONE DID ANYTHING EVISU DID EVERYTHING" 

EVISU's slogan is inspired by a quote from John Lennon of The Beatles praising the "King of Rock and Roll," Elvis Presley: "Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything." EVISU's founder, Hidehiko Yamane, adapted this quote as the brand's slogan. The brand has consistently stood as a pioneer in denim fashion, known for its unique sand washing techniques and intricate details. EVISU remains true to its core values, becoming an enduring symbol in the history of denim.
