MM6 MAISON MARGIELA LAUNCHES LUNAR NEW YEAR 2025 CAPSULE

MM6 Maison Margiela unveils a special capsule celebrating the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake, infusing a series of street essentials with a mysterious, underground vibe. 

Elevating black and white casual basics with an esoteric, conceptual touch, a graphic red ouroboros-inspired motif pays tribute to this extraordinary creature – a sacred symbol of good fortune and longevity in Chinese mythology – overprinted with a contrasting white MM6 signature numeric tag. An encircled number 6, a sign of prosperity, nods to the snake’s place in the Chinese zodiac. 

Based on the ancient symbol of a snake devouring its own tail, representing the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth, the bold design adds striking visual impact to relaxed urban staples, surfacing as a graphic red stamp on the chest and thighs of items including a white cotton jersey short and long-sleeved T-shirts, cropped hooded sweatshirts with zipped collars and straight-leg sweatpants.

It is completed by new versions of the iconic MM6 folded Japanese bag, crafted from black satin printed with the red ouroboros logo, available in small size along with a crossbody mini version with a shoulder strap.
